There is a great difference between the way the Bible describes the universe and the way science describes the universe. One has to make  a choice which one to follow.

The Scientific view of the universe

The scientific view of the universe is that of a large immovable sun and a small moving earth. It shows a spherical earth with a north pole and a south pole. Scientists do not speak of a heaven. Science speaks of a universe that began by a theoretical big bang. 

The Bibilical view of the earth

The Bible teaches that the earth is at the center of the universe. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. This means there are two major things that stand prominent in God's eyes. That is the heavens and the earth. All planets and stars are smaller than the earth by far. The sun is smaller than the earth and it moves around the earth surface. The Bible shows a earth which is flat and does not move (1 Chron 16:30, Psalms 93:1 and Psalms 96:10) . The law of water is that water always rests on a flat surface. Water does not curve on its own. The Bible speak of a firmament around the earth (Genesis 1:6, Isaiah 13:13, Isaiah 24:18). The Bible speaks of a heaven. The Bible says the earth is supported by four pillars (Isaiah 11:12, Rev 7:1, Rev 20:8, Job 9:6, Psalms 75:3 and 1 Sam 2:8) and has an underworld occupied by demons (Philipians 2:10). Infact this verse speaks of three realms only. Check the verse,   it says, "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth". It seems the devil does not want human being to know his abode, The devil was relegated to the underworld after he fell. 

The Bible also says that above the firmament are waters and there are flood gates which can be opened by God. The Bible says the moon and all the stars are inside the firmament dome. The universe was created by God (Isaiah 44:24). it is unfortunate that when most people hear the world universe, the envision millions of galaxies with the earth being super small and insignificant. This is the brainwashing of the satan to pervert God's love for man. The universe should only mention the two main created spheres as i have mentioned above. Let me repeat again, The first verse of the Bible says, in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). This means there are only two major creations of God. The earth and the heavens. The stars and the sun are too small and are only to serve the earth. The Lord Jesus said at one time that the stars shall fall on earth like figs from heaven (Matt 24:29, Mark 13:25 and Rev 6:13). The Bible says 67 times that the sun moves but not even once does it say that the earth moves. 

The scientific view of the earth makes make to feel they are insignificant in a vast universe. it makes them to feel that God is far away. 

Actually when we speak of the universe we should only think of the three main domain. we need to renew our thinking to this three only. Let me repeat again: The Bible says we have three domains, the heaven, the earth and under the earth. Infact the Bible says that in the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, of things on earth and things under the earth (Phil 2:10). It was obvious in the old generation.

Pervesion came with the scientific view of the earth in the 14th century. The original view of the earth has been the Biblical one. see the diagram of ancient view of the universe. I shall be adding more notes on this subject.

I trully believe in the Biblical view of creation of heaven, earth and under the earth. Actually true scientists and all pilots know this is the truth.
